Meet the Team

Tim Pritchard - Developer

With a passion for both music and technology, Tim graduated from The Univeristy of York in 2012 with a BSc (Hons) in Music Technology. He has since gone on to work in web development for the BBC, helping to build platforms such as BBC iPlayer and BBC Weather. Keen to utilize his passion for music, Tim started to develop Musie in his spare time, aiming to create a fun alternative to conventional music theory lessons. This project built on the experience he gained through a diploma in Contemporary Music and Performance in 2007 as well as and over ten years of experience as a guitarist.

Paul Trippett - Music Writer

Known primarily as a double bassist and bass guitarist, Paul graduated as a Bachelor of Music (with honours) from Edinburgh University in 2002 and from the Royal Academy of Music with a Masters in jazz double bass 2008. He was part of the composition team for the English Pocket Opera Company’s Olympics themed Ring Round The World project, the biggest children’s opera ever written. As an active member of the jazz scene, he performs around the UK in numerous small ensembles and has toured with big bands and shows. He is in demand as an instrumental, musicianship, theory and composition tutor.
